Milad Mohammadi is a professional footballer from Iran. He was born on September 29, 1993. He plays for the Persepolis club in Iran and is also a member of the Iranian national team.

Milad is known for being very fast and can play in different positions. He usually plays as a left back or a winger. His twin brother, Mehrdad, is also a professional footballer.

Milad Mohammadi's Club Journey

Playing for Rah Ahan

Milad Mohammadi started his professional career with Rah Ahan in the summer of 2014. He signed a five-year contract with the club. His first game for Rah Ahan was against Esteghlal in the 2014–15 Iran Pro League.

In July 2015, Milad had a trial with Sturm Graz, a club in Austria. He had offers from two European teams, but his coach at Rah Ahan did not allow him to leave the club at that time.

Time at Akhmat Grozny

On February 6, 2016, Milad signed a contract with Terek Grozny (now known as Akhmat Grozny) in Russia. His contract was until 2019. He played his first game for Terek Grozny on April 2, 2016, coming in as a substitute in a 3–2 win.

Milad scored his first professional league goal for Terek on April 29, 2017. It was in a big 5–2 victory against Ural Yekaterinburg. After the 2016–17 season, he was recognized as one of the top 50 young Asian football talents. Milad left Akhmat Grozny in May 2019 when his contract ended.

Moving to Gent

In July 2019, Milad Mohammadi joined Gent, a club in Belgium. He became an important player for the team in many matches. He was good at defending and also helped the team score important goals.

Playing for AEK Athens

On September 17, 2021, Milad signed a three-year contract with AEK Athens in Greece. He joined them after leaving Gent in August.

Joining Adana Demirspor

On January 26, 2024, Milad Mohammadi moved to the Turkish club Adana Demirspor. He signed a contract that would keep him with the team until the summer of 2026. This move was part of Adana Demirspor's plan to make their team stronger. Milad's experience as a left-back and winger, along with his international experience, was a valuable addition. He left the club on August 19, 2024.

Return to Persepolis

On August 20, 2024, Milad Mohammadi returned to Iran to play for Persepolis. He signed a two-year deal with the club, which plays in the Persian Gulf Pro League.

Milad Mohammadi scored a goal for the Iran U23 team during the 2016 AFC U-23 Championship.

In June 2015, he was invited to join the senior national team by coach Carlos Queiroz. He made his first appearance for the national team in a friendly match against Uzbekistan on June 11, 2015.

Milad was part of Iran's team for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia. During a match against Spain, he became well-known for trying a very unusual throw-in attempt in the final minutes of the game.

Milad Mohammadi's Personal Life

Milad Mohammadi was born in the Fallah district, south of Tehran. However, he has mentioned that he is originally from Qazvin Province. His family comes from the village of Kashmarz. Football fans in Iran sometimes call him "Mig-Mig," which is a nickname inspired by the cartoon character Roadrunner. As mentioned, he has a twin brother named Mehrdad Mohammadi.
