Milișăuți (which is Milleschoutz in German) is a town located in Suceava County, in the northeastern part of Romania. It is found in a special historical area called Bukovina. Milișăuți is one of the larger towns in the county.
In 2021, a count of people called a census showed that about 4,657 people live there. Milișăuți officially became a town in 2004. Before that, it was a village. Several other places in Suceava County also became towns at the same time.
Milișăuți includes a former village called Bădeuți, which is now a neighborhood. It also has two associated villages named Gara and Lunca. Another village, Iaslovăț, used to be part of Milișăuți until 2002. Then, it became its own separate area. For a time, from 1976 to 1996, the area was known as Emil Bodnăraș.

Milișăuți is located right next to the Suceava River. It is in the north-central part of Suceava County. The town is only about 8 kilometers (5 miles) away from another town called Rădăuți.
Life in Milișăuți
Even though Milișăuți is a town, many people who live there work in farming. This means they grow crops and raise animals. The town is especially famous for growing cabbage and cucumber. These vegetables are a big part of the local economy.
In the past, a group of German people also lived in Milișăuți. They were known as Bukovina Germans. They were part of the community for many years.
