Min Nan facts for kids
Banlamese (Minnan in Mandarin Chinese), more commonly referred to as Hokkien, Taiwanese, Holo, or Hoklo, is a language spoken in southern China, in the southern part of Hokkien. It is also spoken throughout Taiwan, Singapore, and two southern counties of Zhejiang province in China. Other areas that it is spoken in can be: the Zhoushan archipelago off Ningbo in Zhejiang and the part of Guangdong province around Soaboe; outside China, by minorities in many cities in Myanmar, Malaysia, Indonesia, and the Philippines.
