Minong (pronounced MY-nong) is a small village in Washburn County, Wisconsin, United States. It is a part of the larger Town of Minong. In 2020, about 548 people lived there.

Minong's History and Name
The name Minong comes from the Ojibwe language. It means "blueberry place" or "good place." The Ojibwe people also use Minong to refer to Isle Royale.
A post office opened in Minong in 1887. The village itself was created in 1888. This happened when the Chicago, St. Paul, Minneapolis and Omaha Railway built a train line through the area. Josiah Bond and J. J. Hohl were important people in developing the village.
A well-known snack company, Jack Link's, started in Minong in 1986.

Two main roads help people travel in and out of Minong. These are U.S. Highway 53 and Wisconsin Highway 77.

The village covers a total area of about 1.53 square miles (3.98 square kilometers). Most of this area, about 1.52 square miles (3.95 square kilometers), is land. A very small part, about 0.01 square miles (0.03 square kilometers), is water.
