Francisco Ernandi Lima da Silva (born July 2, 1959), known as Mirandinha, is a former Brazilian professional football player. He played as a striker, which means he was a forward player whose main job was to score goals.

Mirandinha's Football Journey
Mirandinha was born in Chaval, Ceará, a town in Brazil. He started his football career in Brazil, playing for several teams. He first played for Ferroviário, where he began to show his skills. Later, he joined other Brazilian clubs like Ponte Preta and Botafogo.
Playing in England
In 1987, Mirandinha made history! He signed with Newcastle United in England. He was the very first Brazilian player to play professional football in England. This was a big moment for both him and for Brazilian football.
He played his first game for Newcastle in September 1987. It was a match against Norwich City, and it ended in a 1–1 draw. During his time at Newcastle, he played 54 games and scored 20 goals. He was a popular player with the fans.
Back to Brazil and Beyond
After playing in England, Mirandinha returned to Brazil in 1989. He rejoined his old club, Palmeiras. He also played for Belenenses in Portugal for a short time.
In 1991, he joined Corinthians, another big Brazilian club. He even scored two goals for them in the 1991 Copa Libertadores, which is a very important football tournament in South America. After that, he played for Fortaleza in Brazil.
Adventures in Japan
Mirandinha also had a chance to play football in Japan. He joined Japanese clubs like Shimizu S-Pulse and Shonan Bellmare. This showed how his talent was recognized around the world.
Playing for Brazil
Mirandinha also had the honor of playing for his country, the Brazil national team. He played four games for Brazil in 1987. He scored one goal for his country in a 1–1 draw against England. This goal happened during a tournament called the 1987 Rous Cup.

After he stopped playing football, Mirandinha continued to be involved in the sport. He became a football manager for various clubs. He also took on other roles, like being a director at a club called Maguary in 2013.
In 2014, he was the manager of the Castelão stadium in Fortaleza, Brazil. This stadium was one of the places where games were played during the 2014 FIFA World Cup. It's cool that he helped manage such an important stadium for a global event!
