Mirandinha's Football Journey

Mirandinha started his football career in his home country, Brazil. He was born in Chaval, Ceará. He played for several Brazilian clubs, including Ferroviário, Ponte Preta, and Botafogo. He became well-known for his skills on the field.

Playing in England

In 1987, Mirandinha made history! He signed with Newcastle United in England. He was the first ever Brazilian player to play professional football in England. This was a big moment for football. He played for Newcastle United for two years, from 1987 to 1989. He scored 20 goals in 54 games for the club.

Back to Brazil and Beyond

After his time in England, Mirandinha returned to Brazil to play for Palmeiras again. He also played for a short time in Portugal with Belenenses. In 1991, he joined Corinthians and even scored two goals in the 1991 Copa Libertadores, which is a very important South American football tournament.

Later in his career, Mirandinha also played in Japan for teams like Shimizu S-Pulse and Shonan Bellmare. He had a long and exciting career playing football in different countries.
