About Mo Beasley
Mo Beasley was born in Boston, MA, but he grew up in Brooklyn, New York. He studied Theater Arts at Howard University. Today, he lives in Brooklyn and works as a Teaching Artist at the Brooklyn Academy of Music.
His Work as a Writer
Mo Beasley has written many poems. One of his poems was even turned into a play. He worked with Jerome "J-Square" Jones and SekouWrites to create this play. It first opened at the New York International Fringe Festival in 2003.
The play has been performed at many colleges and universities. Mo Beasley also co-authored a book of poems and stories with Jerome Jones. This book was published in 2004.
