Modren Peak facts for kids
Modren Peak (Bulgarian: връх Модрен, romanized: vrah Modren) is a mountain peak in Antarctica. It stands tall at 1,900 meters (about 6,234 feet). This peak is part of the Owen Ridge, which is the very southern end of the main ridge of the Sentinel Range. The Sentinel Range itself is found within the Ellsworth Mountains on the continent of Antarctica.
Modren Peak has slopes that are quite steep. Some parts of its north and southwest sides are not covered in ice. From its western side, it looks over the lower Nimitz Glacier. The peak gets its name from an old town called Modren, located in Southern Bulgaria.

Modren Peak is found at coordinates 78°48′55.8″S 85°03′40″W. It is positioned in a very remote part of Antarctica.

- It is about 4.3 kilometers (2.7 miles) southwest of Mount Inderbitzen.
- It lies 5.35 kilometers (3.3 miles) west-northwest of Peristera Peak.
- Modren Peak is also 16.34 kilometers (10.15 miles) east-northeast of Bergison Peak, which is in the Bastien Range.
