Mohammad Hassan Ganji (Persian: محمدحسن گنجی) was a very important Iranian scientist. He was born on June 11, 1912, in the city of Birjand, Iran. He became famous as a meteorologist, which is a scientist who studies the weather and atmosphere. He was also a respected teacher and professor. People often call him the "father of modern geography in Iran" because of his big impact. He passed away on July 19, 2012, in Tehran.

A Journey of Learning

His Important Works

Professor Ganji was a very productive writer and researcher. He wrote more than 130 articles. These articles were written in both Persian and English. His writings helped share his knowledge with many people around the world.

Training New Experts

Over the years, he taught and guided many students. These students became skilled scholars and masters in geography. He helped shape the future of geography in Iran by training the next generation of experts.

Awards and Recognition

Professor Ganji's hard work and contributions were recognized internationally.

The IMO Prize

In 2001, he received the IMO Prize. This is a very important award given by the World Meteorological Organization (WMO). It honors people who have made outstanding contributions to meteorology. Winning this award showed how much his work was valued worldwide.
