Mojtaba Heidarpanah (Persian: مجتبی حیدرپناه) was born on April 6, 1990, in Abadeh, Iran. He is a talented Iranian cartoonist, illustrator, painter, character designer, and animator.
Mojtaba Heidarpanah is famous for his cartoon series called "Riot Police." One of his works from this series, "The Thinker," won third place in the 37th Aydin Dogan Cartoon Competition. You might also know his artwork of the Bending Streetlight, which became a popular meme on the internet starting in 2019.

Mojtaba's Early Life and Art
Mojtaba was born in the city of Abadeh. He is the sixth child of Gholam Hossein Heidarpanah, who is a master of woodcarving in Abadeh.
When Mojtaba was a child, he discovered cartoons by reading the weekly newspaper Golagha. He started drawing on his own. In 2007, he won his first cartoon award at the "Bread and Art" Cartoon Festival in Fars. Later, he studied painting at Yazd University.
His Journey as an Artist
Mojtaba Heidarpanah started his career as a cartoonist in 2008. He shared his drawings online to get feedback from other Persian artists. This helped him get better at his art.
In 2010, he won a big award at the International Cartoon Festival in Iran. The main idea of this festival was "effort." Over ten years, Mojtaba has won many awards at cartoon festivals around the world. These include places like Argentina, Italy, Brazil, Slovakia, Serbia, and Turkey.
Mojtaba loves cartoons because they let him share ideas with people. He says, "Cartoon is my communicative device which lets me talk to the people of the world without knowing their languages." He enjoys making people think with just one drawing.
He has worked as a freelance cartoonist and illustrator for many important newspapers and magazines in Iran. Some of these include Ghanoon newspaper, Jame Jam newspaper, and Farhikhtegan newspaper.
