History of Abadeh
Archaeologists believe people have lived in the Abadeh area since ancient times, around 1000 BC. The first people to settle in the plains between Abadeh and Isfahan were nomadic Kurdish groups. This happened during the Achaemenid period, a very old empire.
Old buildings like the Izadkhas castle and the Bahram Gur Palace in Surmaq show that there was a rich culture here long ago. Abadeh has always been important because it's located where three major roads meet: those going to Isfahan, Yazd, and Shiraz.
