History of Monango
Monango has a connection to the early days of railroads. Around 1883, a church was built in a nearby town called Keystone. This happened when the railroad was being built through the area.
The church was used in Keystone for as long as that town existed. Later, when Keystone was no longer a town, the church building was moved to Monango. Monango also grew as a town because of the railroad.
