Monica Ann Neumann von Héthárs, also known as Baroness Monica von Neumann, was an American businesswoman and someone who loved to help others. She was born Monica Ann Ford on June 15, 1964. She was also known for being a fashion model and a dancer. Later, she married John Neumann Ritter von Héthárs in 1985. She passed away on March 5, 2019.

Early Life and Education
Monica von Neumann was born in Detroit, Michigan. Her family was a working-class African-American family. When she was a child, she moved with her mother to Los Angeles, California.
Monica loved to dance and studied at the Roland Dupree Dance Academy. She also went to Fairfax High School in the Fairfax District, Los Angeles.
Career and Helping Others
Before she got married, Monica von Neumann was a professional dancer. She even went on tour with famous musicians like Nina Simone and the band Devo. She also worked as a model for well-known fashion brands. These included Yves Saint Laurent and Dior. She walked in their fashion shows and helped with clothing fittings in Paris.
In 2010, Monica started her own business called Baroness von Neumann Candles. This company sold fancy scented candles for homes. The candles even had the Von Neumann family crest as their logo. In December 2010, she was a special guest on BET's show, The Mo'Nique Show.
In 2013, she was considered to join the cast of the reality TV show Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. She met with the show's producers, but she did not end up joining the cast.
Supporting the Arts and Community
Monica von Neumann was very generous and supported many causes. In February 2013, she donated some of her shoes to a special exhibit. This exhibit was called Shoe Obsession at the Museum at Fashion Institute of Technology. She was also featured in a documentary film called God Save My Shoes. This film was about people who love collecting shoes.

When Monica was eighteen, she met John Neumann Ritter von Héthárs. They met at a dinner party in Palm Springs. John was the son of Heinrich Neumann Ritter von Héthárs. He was also the first person to bring Volkswagens cars to the United States.
Monica and John started a relationship. Before they got engaged, she went to a special finishing school in Switzerland. They got married in 1985. They had one daughter together, named Dorian.
John's family, the von Neumanns, were a Hungarian Jewish family. They were given a special noble title by the Austrian emperor. While some of his family members were called Freiherr (which means baron), John himself held the title of Ritter. This title is like a baronet or a hereditary knight in other countries. John passed away from cancer in 2003.
