Montezuma is a small village located in Mercer County, Ohio, in the United States. In 2020, about 152 people lived there.

Village History

Montezuma was first planned and marked out in 1835. The village got its name from Montezuma, a famous ruler from Mexico's history.

A post office, where people could send and receive mail, opened in Montezuma in 1840. The village officially became a town in 1894.
