Montpellier–Méditerranée Airport (also known as Aéroport de Montpellier–Méditerranée) is a busy airport in southern France. Its airport codes are MPL (IATA) and LFMT (ICAO). People sometimes call it Fréjorgues Airport.
This airport is located about 7 kilometers (4.3 miles) east-southeast of the city of Montpellier. It is in a town called Mauguio, which is part of the Hérault department in the Occitanie region of France. The airport first opened its doors in 1946.
Montpellier–Méditerranée Airport is one of the busiest airports in France. In 2010, over 1.18 million passengers used it. A special school for civil aviation, called the École nationale de l'aviation civile, also has a campus at this airport.

The airport sits at a low height, only 17 feet (about 5 meters) above sea level. It has two main runways for planes to take off and land. Both runways are made of asphalt.
