Morgan Hill, also known as Mammy Morgans Hill, is a small mountain in Northampton County, Pennsylvania. It is part of the Reading Prong, which is a section of the larger Appalachian Mountains.

This hill stands at about 673 feet (205 meters) tall. It is located in Williams Township, just south of the city of Easton. From Morgan Hill, you can see the Delaware River and Interstate 78.

How Morgan Hill Got Its Name

Morgan Hill is named after a special person: Elizabeth Bell Morgan. She lived from about 1759 to 1839. Elizabeth Morgan was a well-known leader in the local community.

She ran a popular tavern right on top of the hill. A tavern was a place where people could eat, drink, and stay the night. Because of her and her tavern, the hill became known as Morgan Hill.
