Morse is a small community in Hansford County, Texas, in the United States. It's called a census-designated place (CDP) because the government counts its population for official records, even though it's not a city with its own local government. In 2020, about 157 people lived in Morse.
Location and Land Area
Morse is located in the southwestern part of Hansford County. Its southern edge touches the border of Hutchinson County.
The community is about 0.7 miles (1.1 km) west of Texas State Highway 136. This highway goes north for 15 miles (24 km) to Gruver. It also goes south for 17 miles (27 km) to Stinnett. Spearman, which is the main town of Hansford County, is 22 miles (35 km) northeast of Morse.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the total area of Morse is about 0.54 square miles (1.4 square kilometers). All of this area is land.
