Mount Pulaski is famous for the Mount Pulaski Courthouse State Historic Site. The city got its name from Casimir Pulaski, a Polish hero who fought in the American Revolution.
The city has one high school, Mount Pulaski High School, whose sports teams are called the Hilltoppers. Their school colors are purple and gold. Mount Pulaski was once the main government center, or county seat, for Logan County from 1848 to 1855.
