Mount Vsevidof is a large, cone-shaped volcano in Alaska, USA. It's also known as Russian: Вулкан Всевидова in Russian. This mighty mountain is the highest point on Umnak Island, which is part of the Aleutian Islands.
The volcano's name comes from the Russian words meaning "is seen from everywhere." This makes sense because its tall, symmetrical shape stands out from the land around it.

About Mount Vsevidof
Mount Vsevidof is a type of volcano called a stratovolcano. This means it's built up over time by many layers of hardened lava, ash, and rocks from past eruptions. These volcanoes often have a steep, cone-like shape.
The base of Mount Vsevidof is about 10 kilometers (6 miles) wide. The sides of the volcano get steeper as you go up. Near the top, the slope is about 30 degrees.
Glaciers and Canyons
Even though it's a volcano, Mount Vsevidof has glaciers. These are like slow-moving rivers of ice. Some of these ice rivers have carved deep, narrow canyons into the sides of the mountain. These canyons can be up to 120 meters (390 feet) deep. This happened because ice filled the volcano's crater and then flowed down its northern and eastern sides.

Mount Vsevidof has erupted several times in the past. Its most recent eruption happened in 1957.
