MrBeast Burger is a popular American restaurant chain. It was created by the famous Internet star MrBeast, whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson. He worked with a company called Virtual Dining Concepts to make it happen.

This restaurant is special because it's mostly a "virtual restaurant." This means it doesn't have many traditional dining places. Instead, it uses kitchens in other restaurants to make its food. You order the food through a delivery app, and it gets brought right to you! There are over 2,000 virtual locations around the world.

The menu includes tasty burgers, french fries, desserts, and canned beverages.

How MrBeast Burger Started

Planning the Big Idea

Jimmy Donaldson, also known as MrBeast, had been thinking about creating a restaurant for a long time. His team members, like Will Hyde and Reed Duchscher, said they had been working on the project for many months, even over a year.

The official MrBeast Burger Twitter account was made in August 2020. People started seeing the restaurant appear on food delivery apps a few days before it officially opened.

The Grand Opening

The very first MrBeast Burger location opened its doors on November 10, 2020. This special event happened in Wilson, North Carolina. For this opening, a local restaurant called Burger Boy was temporarily decorated to look like MrBeast Burger. This was the only physical restaurant location.

MrBeast made a YouTube video about the opening. He gave away free food, money, cool technology, and even a new car to people who came to the drive-through. Thousands of fans showed up, and the line for cars stretched for about 20 miles (32 kilometers)!

The police had to help manage the huge crowd and traffic. Eventually, the line became too long, and the police asked them to close it. MrBeast uploaded the video of this exciting event on December 19, 2020. In the video, he officially announced that MrBeast Burger was open with 300 locations across the United States. He also shared that a part of every order would go to charities. These charities help make sure people around the world have enough food.

MrBeast Burger quickly became very popular after the video came out. The video became the number one trending video on YouTube. The MrBeast Burger apps also became the most downloaded apps on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. So many people downloaded the apps that the servers got overloaded for a short time. This caused some temporary problems for users, but it was fixed quickly. Because of its huge popularity, almost all 300 locations ran out of food on the very first night!

Just four months after opening, MrBeast Burger had sold over one million burgers!

New Menu Items and Growth

On April 26, 2021, MrBeast Burger worked with another famous YouTuber, Dream. They introduced a special, limited-time "Dream Burger." This burger had two beef patties, American cheese, lettuce, mayo, bacon, two pickles, and smashed avocado.

On March 18, 2022, MrBeast released a video on his second YouTube channel. It was called "I Made 100 People Try This!". This video showed the launch of a new item: the "Shrek Quesadilla." Universal Studios allowed MrBeast to use the Shrek characters for this special item. The quesadilla included two beef patties, cheese, pickles, and onions.

Expanding Across the World

Since it first opened, MrBeast Burger has grown a lot. Many fans who didn't live near a location asked for more places to order from. MrBeast heard them and said they were working to greatly increase the number of locations.

The first MrBeast Burger locations in Canada opened in early February 2022. These were in cities like Toronto, Edmonton, and Calgary. More locations soon followed in Vancouver, Halifax, and Winnipeg. The first locations in the United Kingdom (UK) opened in early May 2022, with five spots.

On August 30, 2022, MrBeast announced a big step. He would open a physical MrBeast Burger restaurant at the American Dream Mall. This mall is in East Rutherford, New Jersey, close to New York City. This was the first actual MrBeast Burger restaurant in the United States. It opened on September 4, 2022. Thousands of people came to the mall, and state police were called to help manage the huge crowd.

MrBeast Burger also opened its first virtual location in Southeast Asia. This happened in the Philippines on March 22, 2023. They partnered with JustKitchen Philippines and GrabFood.

Today, MrBeast Burger has over 300 virtual locations across the mainland US and one in Puerto Rico. In 2023, the business also came to Mexico. In 2024, the chain started serving in Brazil. Since 2023, the chain has been available in Colombia. In 2025, the franchise launched in Germany. The chain also announced plans to open in New Zealand in July 2025.

Disagreement About the Business

On June 17, 2023, a fan asked MrBeast on Twitter why a video about MrBeast Burger was deleted. MrBeast replied that he was "moving on from MrBeast Burger." He wanted to "focus on Feastables and making snacks." He said he regretted signing "a bad deal" with Virtual Dining Concepts, LLC. He also said the company "won't let me stop even though it's terrible for my brand." These replies were deleted soon after.

On July 31, 2023, MrBeast (Jimmy Donaldson) filed a lawsuit against Virtual Dining Concepts. He claimed that the company did not keep up the quality he wanted for his brand. He believed they cared more about growing their business than about the quality of the food. He also said that Virtual Dining Concepts had trademarked "MrBeast" without his knowledge. Because of this, he said he had not received any money from MrBeast Burger.

Virtual Dining Concepts disagreed with MrBeast's claims. Their lawyers said that MrBeast's statements were "false and inaccurate." They also mentioned that MrBeast had recently tried to make a new agreement with them. The company claimed that MrBeast was trying to get out of his current agreement without a good reason. Virtual Dining Concepts stated they had hoped Mr. Donaldson would act fairly. They said he had chosen "greed over his word and the truth." They also said he would "face the consequences in court." The case is being heard in a federal court in New York.
