Mubariz Aghakerim oğlu Ibrahimov (Azerbaijani: Mübariz Ağakərim oğlu İbrahimov) was an Azerbaijani soldier. He was born on February 7, 1988, in Aliabad. He became a Warrant Officer in the Azerbaijani military. Mubariz Ibrahimov is remembered as a National Hero of Azerbaijan for his bravery. He passed away on June 18, 2010, in Çaylı.

Early Life and Military Service
Mubariz Ibrahimov grew up in Aliabad, which is in the Bilasuvar District. He finished his school education in 2005. After school, he joined the Azerbaijani Armed Forces in 2006. He served in the military until 2007.
In September 2009, Mubariz decided to continue his military career. He took special courses to become a Warrant Officer. After completing his training, he served in the town of Naftalan.
A Hero's Final Act
On June 19, 2010, Mubariz Ibrahimov was involved in a fight between Azerbaijani and Armenian forces. He showed great courage during this event. Sadly, he was killed during the shootout.
After his death, the government of Azerbaijan honored him. They gave him the special title of National Hero of Azerbaijan. This award is given to people who show outstanding bravery for their country.
Bringing Mubariz Home
After the fighting, Mubariz Ibrahimov's body was not immediately returned. It remained under the control of Armenian forces for 141 days. Azerbaijani officials worked hard to get his body back.
The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) helped to mediate. This organization helps people during conflicts. The head of the Armenian Apostolic Church, Karekin II, also asked for the body to be returned.
Finally, an agreement was made between the leaders of Armenia and Azerbaijan. Mubariz Ibrahimov's body was returned to Azerbaijan on November 6, 2010. He was buried with honors in the second Alley of Honor in Baku. The President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, attended his funeral.
Remembering Mubariz
Mubariz Ibrahimov's bravery is still remembered today. On July 22, 2010, President Ilham Aliyev officially made him a national hero. Many things have been named after him to honor his memory.
- One of the secondary schools in Bilesuvar is named after Mubariz Ibrahimov.
- A street in Bilesuvar also carries his name.
- A documentary film was suggested to tell his life story.
- In 2011, a four-meter tall granite statue of Mubariz Ibrahimov was put up. It stands in front of the school named after him.
- A large tanker ship in Turkey is also named in his honor.
- Even a powerful sniper rifle, the 12.7X108 caliber Mubariz Istiglal, is named after him.
Because of his bravery, Mubariz Ibrahimov is also seen as a National Hero in Turkey.
Awards and Recognition
- In 2011, Mubariz Ibrahimov was named the Man of the Year by the ANS Group of Companies. This award recognized his courage and sacrifice.
