A Career in Law and Government
Muladi had a long and important career in Indonesia. He was known for his work in law and his time serving in the government. He studied law at Diponegoro University and also at the International Institute of Human Rights.
Serving as Minister of Justice
In 1998, Muladi became the Minister of Justice. He started this job on March 14, 1998. This was during the last government of President Suharto. As Minister of Justice, he was in charge of the country's legal system. He worked to make sure laws were fair and followed.
Acting Minister of State Secretary
After President Suharto, Baharuddin Jusuf Habibie became president. Muladi continued to serve in the government. From May 10, 1999, to October 20, 1999, he was the acting Minister of State Secretary. In this role, he helped the President with important government tasks.
Later Life and Passing
Muladi continued to contribute to Indonesia after his time as a minister. He was a respected figure in legal and political circles. Sadly, Muladi became sick with COVID-19. He tested positive for the virus on December 17, 2020. He passed away from the infection on December 31, 2020, in Jakarta.
