The Story Behind the Name

Muldraugh is located just south of a place called Muldraugh Hill. The road leading to the town from the north used to be very steep. Because of this, early travelers needed wagons pulled by mules to get there. This is how the town got its unique name: "mule-drawn" became "Muldraugh"!
