Muroran curry ramen was first made a long time ago, in 1965. It was created at a ramen restaurant called Ajinodaiō in Muroran.

What Makes This Ramen Special?

Muroran curry ramen usually has thick ramen noodles. These noodles are made from wheat grown right there in Hokkaido. The soup is a mix of sweet and spicy flavors. It's made with a base of pork bone broth. This tasty dish often comes with toppings like char siu (sliced pork), wakame (seaweed), and bean sprouts.

In 2006, a group called the Muroran Curry Ramen Group was created. Their job is to help everyone know about and try this special ramen.

Later, in 2010, a big food company called Nissin Food Products made an instant noodle version of Muroran Curry Ramen. They sold it all over Japan! The Muroran Curry Ramen Group helped them make sure it tasted just right.
