The Museum of Navarre (also known as Museo de Navarra in Spanish and Nafarroako Museoa in Basque) is a fantastic art museum. It is located on Calle Cuesta Santo Domingo in Pamplona, a city in the Navarre region of Spain. This museum is a great place to explore the rich history and amazing art of Navarre.

Discovering the Museum of Navarre

The Museum of Navarre is home to many incredible artworks and artifacts. These pieces tell the story of the region from prehistoric times all the way up to the 20th century. It's like a time machine that lets you see how people lived and created art throughout history.

A Look Back in Time

The museum building itself has a long history. It used to be an old hospital from the 16th century called Nuestra Señora de la Misericordia de Pamplona. It was transformed into a museum in 1956. The collection started with artworks gathered by a special group in 1844. These works were first shown in 1910. You can still see the beautiful old church facade from the hospital right next to the museum entrance.

What You Can See Inside

The museum has four floors, and the exhibits are arranged in order from the oldest to the newest. This helps you follow the story of art and history step by step.
