A Look Back in Time
The museum building itself has a long history. It used to be an old hospital from the 16th century called Nuestra Señora de la Misericordia de Pamplona. It was transformed into a museum in 1956. The collection started with artworks gathered by a special group in 1844. These works were first shown in 1910. You can still see the beautiful old church facade from the hospital right next to the museum entrance.

Ancient Treasures
- The Mapa de Abauntz: This is a prehistoric engraving on a stone block. It's like an ancient map with geographic symbols!
- Triumph of Bacchus Mosaic: This colorful mosaic is from the first century. It came from an ancient Roman town called Andelos, near Mendigorría.
Medieval Masterpieces

- Grisaille Renaissance Murals: These unique murals from the Palacio de Óriz are painted in shades of gray. They show scenes from the War in Saxony during the time of Charles V.
- Statue of San Jerónimo: This detailed statue was created by the famous sculptor Juan de Anchieta.
