History of Mustang Ridge

Mustang Ridge officially became a city in 1985. This happened thanks to Alton Brooks Laws Jr. and Charles Laws. Alton Brooks Laws Jr. was chosen as the city's first mayor. He also served as the municipal judge and a state magistrate. During the city's early days, a comment made by Charles Laws about a proposed detention facility caused some public disagreement.
