My So-Called Life is an American teen drama television series. It first aired in 1994. The show is about the life of a teenage girl named Angela Chase. She is played by Claire Danes.
The story takes place at a made-up school called Liberty High School. This school is in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Many people liked the show. They felt the characters seemed like real teenagers.
The show ended with a cliffhanger. This means the story stopped at an exciting moment. The creators hoped to make more episodes. But the show was canceled on May 15, 1995.
Even though it was short, My So-Called Life was very popular. In 2007, Time magazine called it one of the "100 Best TV Shows of All-TIME". TV Guide also ranked it high. It was number 16 on their list of "25 Top Cult Shows Ever". A "cult show" is a program that has a small but very dedicated group of fans.

The music from My So-Called Life was also popular. Atlantic Records released a soundtrack album. It came out on August 25, 1994. A new version was released on January 24, 1995.
