Mystery Hunters is a cool Canadian TV show made for young people like you! It aired on YTV in Canada and on Discovery Kids in the United States. People in Japan could also watch it, dubbed into Japanese, on NHK.

The show follows two teenage hosts, Araya and Christina. They explore all sorts of mysteries, from legendary creatures and spirits to dinosaurs and aliens. They use science to find real answers for strange sightings and stories.

Another part of the show features Doubting Dave and Doubting Dave (Sister). They are scientists played by David Acer and David Acer (Sister). They try to explain mysterious things that viewers send in. This part is called "V-Files". They also show you how to do your own experiments in the "Mystery Lab" segment.

Apartment 11 Productions made four seasons and 78 episodes of Mystery Hunters. The show won many awards around the world. These include eight Gemini Award nominations. It also won a 2006 Parents' Choice Award. In 2007, the "Stonehenge" episode won a Japan Prize. This award was for early education.

How the Show Works

The show starts with a question about the week's mysteries. This leads into the opening title sequence. Then, you see the first part of two different stories. Araya and Christina each investigate one of these stories.

V-Files and Mystery Lab

Next is the "V-File" segment. Here, Doubting Dave and Doubting Dave (Sister) answer a viewer's question. They explain a mysterious event that someone experienced. After this, you see the second part of Araya and Christina's adventures.

Then comes the "Mystery Lab" segment. Doubting Dave and Doubting Dave (Sister) do an experiment. This experiment helps explain something related to the week's mystery.

Wrapping Up the Mysteries

Finally, Araya and Christina finish their stories. At the end of each show, the hosts appear together. They often share a funny wrap-up. They usually end with the Mystery Hunters catchphrase: "Remember, things aren't always what they seem!"
