John Sanford Moore (born June 5, 1966) is a well-known Canadian radio and television personality. He is also a film critic, a voice actor, and a comedian. You can usually hear him on the CFRB 1010 radio station in Toronto, Ontario.

Early Life and Education

John Moore was born in Montreal, Quebec. He grew up in a part of Montreal called Notre-Dame-de-Grâce. He went to West Hill High School, where he was even the student body president!

After high school, John studied at Vanier College. While he was at university, he worked as a pre-school teacher. He also worked in something called "corporate public relations," which means helping companies communicate with the public. John earned two degrees in Communications from Concordia University.

Career in Media

John Moore started his career in radio as a reporter at CHOM-FM in Montreal. He also enjoyed improv, which is a type of acting where you make things up on the spot. He was one of the first members of a group called "On The Spot players" in Montreal.

Since 1999, John has been working at CFRB 1010 radio station in Toronto. He started as an entertainment reporter and film reviewer. He would usually share his movie thoughts on the morning show. Later, he began hosting his own show called The John Moore Show in the afternoons. He also reports on entertainment for CFRB's sister station, CJAD, in Montreal. In 2009, John became the main host for the morning show on Newstalk 1010.

His morning show, Moore in the Morning, started on October 5, 2009. This show features many different people who talk about sports, news, movies, and business. It airs every weekday morning from 5:30 AM to 9:00 AM.

John has also worked on French-language radio for Radio-Canada. He even hosted a TV show about fishing! He hosted Mystery Ink, a show about mystery fiction that was often shown on the Mystery TV channel. John was also the host of Escalator Movie Reviews on Global TV. He also hosted Guy Stuff, a discussion show on mentv and Fox Sports World Canada.

Voice Acting and Other Experiences

John Moore has lent his voice to many animated TV shows. Some of these include Ripley's Believe It or Not!, The Little Lulu Show, Arthur, Caillou, and Potatoes and Dragons. He has also done voice work for video games like Wizardry 8 and the Splinter Cell series.

One of his most memorable experiences as a reporter happened when he was in New York City during the September 11 attacks. Even though he wasn't doing hard news reporting anymore, he found himself covering this major event.

In 2004, John Moore appeared in the movie The Day After Tomorrow. He played a New York reporter in the film. In 2006, he was a contestant on the game show Jeopardy!.

John Moore lives in Toronto and writes a column for the National Post newspaper.
