Naadiya Moosajee is a talented South African engineer and a special kind of business person called a social entrepreneur. She helped start an organization called Women in Engineering (WomEng). Early Life and School

Naadiya Moosajee was born in South Africa in 1984. She went to the University of Cape Town (UCT) for her first degree. There, she studied to become a civil engineer. Civil engineers design and build things like roads, bridges, and buildings.

University Studies

After getting her first degree, she continued her studies at UCT. In 2009, she earned a master's degree in Transport Engineering. This field focuses on how people and goods move around, and how to make transportation systems better. During her master's degree, she spent a year studying in Germany at the University of Stuttgart as an exchange student.

Later, in 2013, Naadiya earned another master's degree, this time in Business Administration (MBA), from the University of Edinburgh in Scotland. This degree helped her learn how to manage businesses and organizations.

Naadiya's Career Journey

After finishing her first degree, Naadiya worked as a Project Engineer for a company called Arcus Gibb Engineering in Cape Town. She helped manage different engineering projects for about a year.

Working for the FIFA World Cup

In 2010, South Africa hosted the 2010 FIFA World Cup, a huge soccer tournament. Naadiya played an important role in this event. She was the VIP & Media Transport Coordinator in Cape Town. This meant she was in charge of planning and organizing all the ground transportation for important guests, news reporters, and soccer officials during the World Cup.

Leadership and Consulting Roles

In 2009, Naadiya was chosen as a Global Leadership Fellow by a non-profit group in the United Kingdom called Youth Action Network. She worked with them for over a year, helping to develop young leaders.

From 2011 to 2013, she worked as an Engagement Manager at Pegasys Strategy & Development. This company advises on how development projects affect growing economies. Naadiya worked as a consultant on big projects related to climate change and public transportation.

Making a Difference

Naadiya Moosajee is known for her work in helping others and starting new businesses. In December 2014, Forbes Magazine recognized her as one of "The 20 Youngest Power Women In Africa."
