Early Career and Rise to Fame
Nabilla started her modeling career when she was 14 years old. She was chosen as Miss Geneva International Motor Show in 2011 while working at the Peugeot car stand. When she was 17, Nabilla joined the French reality TV show L'Amour est aveugle (which means "Love is Blind"). On this show, people meet each other in complete darkness.
In 2012, she appeared in the fourth season of les Anges de la télé-réalité, which was filmed in Hawaii. This show, aired on NRJ 12, follows a group of reality TV stars for ten weeks. During the show, she started a relationship with Sofiane Tadjine-Lambert. He even wrote a song for her called "Dingue de toi (Nabi… Nabilla)", which became popular in France.
In early 2013, she filmed the fifth season of les Anges in Florida. Her participation in this show helped her become even more famous.
"Non, mais allô quoi" and Beyond
Nabilla's famous phrase "non, mais allô quoi" caused a huge buzz in France. Many funny parodies of it appeared online and in different media. The company that produced les Anges registered several trademarks related to her famous lines. This led to rumors that Nabilla would get her own reality show. She later confirmed this in a TV interview.
Her own reality TV show, Allô Nabilla, ma famille en Californie, started in November 2013 on NRJ 12. The show followed her and her family in Los Angeles. Even though the first episode had mixed reviews, the show did well and was renewed for three more seasons. In September 2014, she became a regular guest on Touche pas à mon poste !, a very popular talk show in France.
Some people, like the entertainment news website TMZ, have called her the "French Kim Kardashian" because of her fame and reality TV background.
In April 2016, Nabilla released her autobiography, a book called Trop vite (which means Too fast). In June 2018, an artist named Andy Picci created an art exhibition dedicated to Nabilla. He photoshopped her features onto famous classic paintings, like the Mona Lisa.
