Nabilla became very well-known in France for a funny phrase she said. On the show Les Anges de la télé-réalité, she said "non, mais allô quoi?" which means "I mean, like, hello?". This phrase became super popular! Big brands like IKEA and Carrefour even used it in their ads. Lots of people made funny videos online using her phrase, and they were watched millions of times. Nabilla even made sure to register the phrase as her own trademark.

Nabilla's Journey to Fame

Early Steps in Modeling

Nabilla started her career in modeling when she was just 14 years old. She was hired by a modeling agency. A few years later, in 2011, she won the title of Miss Geneva International Motor Show. She was working at the Peugeot car stand at the time.

First TV Appearances

When Nabilla was 17, she joined a TV reality show called L'Amour est aveugle. This show was the French version of "Love is Blind." In this show, people meet each other in total darkness. This was her first time on television.

Becoming a Reality TV Star

In 2012, Nabilla appeared in the fourth season of Les Anges de la télé-réalité. This show was filmed in Hawaii. It follows a group of reality TV stars for ten weeks. During the show, she met and became friends with Sofiane Tadjine-Lambert. He was a singer from another TV show called Star Academy. Sofiane even wrote a song for her called "Dingue de toi (Nabi… Nabilla)". This song became popular and reached number 25 on the French music charts.

In early 2013, Nabilla filmed the fifth season of Les Anges in Florida. She earned a good amount of money for being on this show. It was during this season that she said her famous line. After a small argument with another cast member about shampoo, she said:

"Euh, allô! non, mais allô, quoi. T'es une fille et t'as pas de shampooing ? Allô. Allô ! Je sais pas, moi, vous me recevez ? T'es une fille, t'as pas de shampooing ? C'est comme si je dis : t'es une fille, t'as pas de cheveux !"

This translates to: "Er, hello! I mean, like, hello? You're a girl, you got no shampoo. Hello. Hello! I dunno, can you hear me? You're a girl, you got no shampoo? It's like if I said, 'you're a girl, you got no hair'."

The "Allô" Buzz

Nabilla's "allô" phrase caused a huge stir in France. It led to many funny parodies online and in the media. The company that made Les Anges registered several trademarks for her famous sayings. This led to rumors that Nabilla would get her own reality show. She later confirmed this in a TV interview.

Her own reality TV show, Allô Nabilla, ma famille en Californie, started on NRJ 12 in November 2013. The show followed her and her family in Los Angeles. Even though the first episode had low ratings, the show became quite successful. It was renewed for three more seasons. In September 2014, she became a regular guest on Touche pas à mon poste !, a very popular talk show in France.

Some people in the media, like TMZ, have called her the "French Kim Kardashian." In April 2016, Nabilla released her autobiography called Trop vite, which means Too fast. In June 2018, an artist named Andy Picci created an art exhibition dedicated to Nabilla. He photoshopped her face onto famous paintings like the Mona Lisa.
