Nagayasu Honda (本田 長康, Honda Nagayasu) was a Japanese football player. He played as a Midfielder. Honda was a member of the Japan national team. He also played for a club team called Waseda WMW.

Playing for Waseda WMW

Nagayasu Honda played football for a team named Waseda WMW. This team was made up of players from Waseda University. Many of his teammates also played for the Japan national team. Some of these players included Shigeyoshi Suzuki and Haruo Arima. In 1928, Honda and his team won the 1928 Emperor's Cup. This was a very important football championship in Japan.

Playing for Japan's National Team

In August 1927, Nagayasu Honda was still a student at Waseda University Senior High School. Even so, he was chosen to play for the Japan national team! He traveled to Shanghai for the 1927 Far Eastern Championship Games.

On August 27, he played his first game for Japan. This match was against the Republic of China. Two days later, on August 29, he played against the Philippines. Japan won this match. This was a very special moment for Japanese football. It was the Japan national team's first ever victory in an official international game.

Honda also played in the 1930 Far Eastern Championship Games. These games were held in Tokyo. Japan won the championship that year. He played a total of 4 games for Japan until 1930.
