Nakahara Prize facts for kids
The Nakahara Prize (which in Japanese is called 中原賞) is a special award given out every year in Japan. It's for Japanese economists who are under 45 years old. These economists must have done amazing work that people all over the world recognize. The prize started in 1995. It was named after Nobuyuki Nakahara, who helped create it. The main goal of this award is to celebrate and encourage young economists. It helps them to keep writing important papers and books that are known internationally. In 2016, Sagiri Kitao made history by becoming the first woman to win this prize.
