Hanan Hamdi (born August 23, 1991) is a talented German singer and rapper. She is best known by her stage name Namika. Sometimes, she also uses the name Hän Violett.

About Namika
Namika, whose real name is Hanan Hamdi, was born and grew up in Frankfurt, Germany. Her family comes from Nador, a city on the coast of Morocco.
Namika's Music Journey
Namika released her first album, Nador, on July 21, 2015. This album featured her very first single, "Lieblingsmensch". By the end of July 2015, Nador reached number thirteen on the German album charts. Her song "Lieblingsmensch" started at number twenty-seven on the German single charts. After eight weeks, it climbed all the way to number one!
Namika has also released several music videos. One of these is for her song "Na-Mi-Ka", which is from her EP (Extended Play) called Hellwach.
Competing with Music
In 2015, Namika took part in the Bundesvision Song Contest 2015. She performed a special version of her song Hellwach (which means "Wide Awake" in English). The German music team Beatgees produced this song. They have also worked with other famous artists like Lena and Curse. Namika represented the German state of Hessen in the contest. On August 29, 2015, her song finished in seventh place.
In 2018, Namika released another hit song called "Je ne parle pas français". A remix of this song featured the French rapper Black M. This song also became a number one hit in Germany. On July 1, 2018, she released her second studio album, Que Walou.
Namika also competed in the 2015 New Music Award competition, where she performed three of her songs.
