Nanafalia is a small community in Marengo County, Alabama, USA. It is known as an "unincorporated community" and a "census-designated place" (CDP). This means it's a recognized area, but it doesn't have its own local government like a city or town.
In 2020, about 75 people lived in Nanafalia. This was a bit less than the 94 people counted in 2010. The community sits on a high ridge overlooking the Tombigbee River. Its name comes from the Choctaw language, meaning "long hill." Nanafalia even has its own post office with the ZIP code 36764.

Nanafalia is located in the southwestern part of Marengo County. It is found along Alabama State Route 10. Another road, Alabama State Route 69, forms the western edge of the community. Linden, which is the main town and county seat, is about 21 miles (34 km) to the northeast.
The Nanafalia community covers an area of about 2.2 square miles (5.7 square kilometers). All of this area is land. The community is on a flat-topped ridge. Water from the northern part of the ridge flows into South Double Creek. Water from the southern part flows into a small stream that joins Horse Creek. Both of these creeks eventually flow west into the Tombigbee River.
