Naples is a small town located in Scott County, in the U.S. state of Illinois. In 2020, about 100 people lived there. It is part of the larger Jacksonville area.
History of Naples
Naples became an official town on February 1, 1839. An important historical event, the Potawatomi Trail of Death, passed through this area in 1838. This was when the Potawatomi people were forced to move from their lands.
