History of Narka
Narka was established in 1887. It was named after the daughter of a railroad worker. The first post office in Narka opened its doors in November 1887. A few years later, in 1894, Narka officially became an incorporated city.

In the past, Narka had its own schools, and the mascot for Narka High School was the Narka Wildcats. However, these schools closed as part of a school unification plan.
