Narraweena is a suburb located in northern Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. It is about 18 kilometers northeast of the main Sydney central business district. Narraweena is part of the Northern Beaches region and is managed by the Northern Beaches Council.
This suburb is home to two primary schools. These are Narraweena Public School and St John the Apostle Narraweena Catholic School.

Narraweena's History
The name Narraweena comes from an Aboriginal language. It means "a quiet place in the hills."
The suburb of Narraweena started to grow a lot after World War II. Land was divided into smaller blocks for homes. The Narraweena Post Office first opened its doors on 1 April 1953.
Annual Santo Salvatore Festival
Since the 1980s, people from Pazzano, Italy, have held a special yearly festival. It is called the Santo Salvatore's feast. During this event, a statue that looks very much like the original from Italy is carried. It travels from the Catholic church in Narraweena around the suburb and then back to the church.
