Natasja Saad (born October 31, 1974 – died June 24, 2007) was a popular singer and rapper from Denmark. She was also known as Dou T, Little T, and Natasja. While she was already quite famous in her home country, her voice on a remix of the song "Calabria" made her known around the world. This song even reached number one on Billboard magazine's Hot Dance Airplay chart, just six months after she sadly passed away in a car accident in Jamaica.

Natasja's Early Life and Music Journey
Natasja Saad was born in Copenhagen, Denmark, on October 31, 1974. Her mother, Kirstine Saad, is a photographer from Denmark, and her father, Ahmed Saad, was from Sudan. Her father was a big supporter of her music career.
Natasja grew up in Islands Brygge, a part of Copenhagen. When she was a child, she loved nature and horses. This passion later led her to become a professional jockey, which is someone who rides horses in races.
Starting Her Music Career
Natasja began her music journey at age 13 in Copenhagen. She performed live with her good friend, Karen Mukupa, and another artist named McEmzee. Their group was called No Name Requested. They performed together until 1996.
Natasja was also very inspired by Jamaican culture and music. She even performed with famous artists like Queen Latifah and became popular in Jamaica. In 1998, when she was 24, she had an accident while training as a jockey. She fell off her horse, which slowed down her career for a bit.
Achievements in Music and Horse Racing
Natasja later made history by becoming the first female jockey to win a horse race in Sudan. In 2006, she won the reggae/Irie FM Big Break Contest in Jamaica. This win gave her music career a fresh start and a huge boost.
After her passing, a special collection of her music was released on June 29, 2018. It was called Legacy (1974–2007) and came out on Playground Music. This collection celebrated 10 years since her death. Besides her earlier albums like Release, I Danmark Er Jeg Født, and Shooting Star, Legacy also included new songs from her whole career.
Natasja's Passing
Natasja Saad died on June 24, 2007, in a car accident in Hellshire, Jamaica. Two other people in the car were seriously hurt, but her friend, Karen Mukupa, only had minor injuries. Natasja and the injured people were taken to the Spanish Town Hospital, where Natasja was pronounced dead.
Her death was a big loss for Denmark's music and entertainment world. Many felt it was especially sad because her career was growing and gaining so much recognition at that time.
Natasja is buried at Assistens Cemetery in Copenhagen. This cemetery is a special place where many important Danish people, like Hans Christian Andersen and Niels Bohr, are laid to rest.
