Nathan Dean Parsons is an American actor born on June 16, 1988. He is well-known for his roles in popular TV shows. These include playing Ethan Lovett on the daytime soap opera General Hospital. He also played the vampire James Kent in True Blood and the werewolf Jackson Kenner in The Originals. More recently, he starred as Max Evans in Roswell, New Mexico.

Early Life and Education
Nathan Parsons was born in Adelaide, South Australia. He grew up in different places, including Boulder, Colorado, and Austin, Texas. He later moved to Los Angeles to study acting at the University of Southern California. However, he decided to leave after three semesters.
Nathan is also part of a dance group called Boom Kat Dance Theatre. This group is based in Santa Monica, California. They have put on several successful shows.
Acting Career
Early Roles
When Nathan was a child, he started his acting career by doing voice-over work. He would record English voices for Japanese anime shows. He was the main voice for Jean Roque-Raltique in Nadia: The Secret of Blue Water. He also had parts in shows like "Soul Hunter" and Jing: King of Bandits.
As a young actor, he appeared in a few films. These included Teeth in 2007 and The Brotherhood V: Alumni in 2009.
Starring in General Hospital
Nathan Parsons first joined the cast of General Hospital in 2009. He played the character of Ethan Lovett, a clever con artist. He quickly became a popular part of the show. His character, Ethan, was later revealed to be the son of two famous characters, Luke Spencer and Holly Sutton.
In 2011, Nathan decided to leave General Hospital. His last episode aired in March 2012. However, the show left the door open for his return.
In May 2012, Nathan was nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award. This award was for Outstanding Younger Actor for his role as Ethan Lovett. Even though he did not win, he presented an award at the ceremony. He gave the award to his former co-star, Anthony Geary, who played his on-screen father.
Nathan returned to General Hospital for special appearances. He came back in April 2013 for the show's 50th Anniversary. He also made a brief return in July 2015.
Other TV Shows
After General Hospital, Nathan appeared in the show Bunheads in 2012. He played a character named Godot. He was in seven episodes of the show.
From 2014 to 2018, Nathan had important roles in two fantasy drama series. He replaced another actor as James in the final season of True Blood. He also played Jackson Kenner in The Originals.
In 2018, Nathan was cast as Max Evans in Roswell, New Mexico. This show is about aliens living secretly among humans. He played the main role until the series ended in 2022.
