The National Museum of Dance and Hall of Fame is a special place in Saratoga Springs, New York. It was created in 1986 to celebrate the art of dance. The museum is located inside the old Washington Bath House. It was founded by Marylou Whitney.
This museum holds many interesting things. You can find photographs, videos, old items, costumes, and stories about famous dancers. The museum's main goal was to help everyone appreciate and love dance. It also wanted to create a special "Hall of Fame" to honor important people in the dance world. The museum has been closed since March 2020.
The Dance Hall of Fame
The Mr. & Mrs. Cornelius Vanderbilt Whitney Hall of Fame is a very important part of the museum. It was started in 1987. Each year, new people who have made a big difference in dance are added to this Hall of Fame. It's like a special club for dance legends!
