Discover Nehalem Bay State Park

This amazing park became a state park thanks to Tillamook County. They gave the land to the State of Oregon in the 1930s. For many years, workers helped make the land stable. They planted special plants like European beach grass, shore pine, and Scotch broom. This important work took about twenty years! Finally, the park officially opened its doors in 1972.

What Can You Do at Nehalem Bay State Park?

Nehalem Bay State Park is a great place for many activities. It has areas just for day visits, perfect for a picnic or a quick stop. If you want to stay longer, there's a big campground. Fun Features and Activities

Nehalem Bay State Park has some unique features. There's a small air strip called the Nehalem Bay State Airport. This is for small planes to land and take off. The park also has an amphitheater.
