Neil John Humphreys (born December 5, 1974) is a popular British author and journalist who lives in Singapore. He is famous for writing funny and interesting stories about life in Singapore and has written over 30 books.

Born and raised in Dagenham, a part of London, England, Humphreys moved to Singapore in 1996. He is well-known for his humorous newspaper columns, where he shares his thoughts on daily life, sports, and movies. He has written for major newspapers like The Straits Times and The New Paper. Today, he writes for Yahoo and hosts a popular football podcast.

Many of his books are very successful. His children's series, Abbie Rose and the Magic Suitcase, is being made into a TV show. His crime novels about a character named Inspector Low are also being developed for television.

Life and Career

When Neil Humphreys first came to Singapore, he worked as a speech and drama teacher in local schools. He later became a writer, starting as a humour columnist for the newspaper Today.

As a columnist, he wrote funny articles about Singaporean culture from his point of view as a foreigner. He also wrote about his childhood in London and his love for football, especially the English Premier League. His funny and honest writing style made him very popular with readers.
