Netley is a suburb located in South Australia. It is about 6.2 kilometers (or 3 miles) west of Adelaide, the capital city. Netley is part of the City of West Torrens area.

Netley is special because of its location. It sits roughly halfway between the busy Adelaide city centre and the beautiful coast. It also borders the Adelaide Airport on its southeastern side.
What's Netley Like?
The northern part of Netley is mostly industrial. This means you'll find many businesses, factories, and warehouses there. This area is located south of Richmond Road and west of Marion Road.
However, the southern part of Netley is very different. South of Watson Avenue, Netley is mainly residential. This means it's where people live, with houses and homes. This area also has a kindergarten for young children and a retirement village for older people.
Schools in Netley
Netley once had its own school called Netley Primary School. But this school closed down. In 1998, it joined with other schools to create a new, bigger school called William Light School. This was done to bring students together and offer better learning opportunities.
