Neva Krysteva (Bulgarian: Нева Кръстева) is a famous Bulgarian musician. She was born on August 2, 1946. She is known as an amazing organist, a music professor, a teacher, and a composer. She also studies music history and theory.

Life and Music

Neva Krysteva was born in Sofia, Bulgaria. She studied music at the Moscow P. I. Tchaikovsky Conservatoire. There, she learned to play the organ and studied music in depth. She continued her studies in Prague and Zürich.

Her career has three main parts. She performs as an organist, studies music, and writes her own music. In 1978, she started the very first organ class in Bulgaria. This helped many new organists learn and grow.

After finishing her education, Neva Krysteva taught organ at the National Academy of Music in Bulgaria. She also led organ classes at New Bulgarian University. She has written many professional articles about music.

Neva Krysteva has played many concerts around the world. She has performed in many countries across Europe, like Italy, Germany, and Russia. She has also played in Asia. Her performing career in Bulgaria, her home country, started in 1974. This was after a new pipe organ was installed in the Bulgaria Concert Hall in Sofia. She plays many different styles of music. This includes older music from the Baroque and Romantic music periods. She also plays music from the 20th century.

Neva Krysteva writes music mostly for the organ. She also composes chamber pieces and choral music for choirs.
