New Berlin (/ˈbɜːrlɪn/ BUR-lin) is a small city in Guadalupe County, Texas, United States. In 2020, about 626 people lived there. New Berlin is a German-Texan town. It was started by German immigrants in the 1800s as a farming community. The city is named after Berlin, Germany. Many people living in New Berlin today are descendants of the first German families who settled there.

Where is New Berlin?
New Berlin is located in the southwestern part of Guadalupe County. You can find it near 29°27′45″N 98°6′2″W / 29.46250°N 98.10056°W. It is east of a place called Cibolo Creek.
The city is about 13 miles (21 km) southwest of Seguin. Seguin is the main city of the county. New Berlin is also about 27 miles (43 km) east of downtown San Antonio.
The United States Census Bureau says that New Berlin covers an area of 12.4 square kilometers (4.8 sq mi). All of this area is land.

New Berlin was founded in 1868. It was started by German immigrants who moved to this area of Texas. They named the town after Berlin, Germany. This was a familiar place to them from their home country. Carl August Edward "Ed" Tewes is often seen as the main founder of the city.
