New Harmony is a small town located in northern Washington County, Utah, in the United States. In 2010, about 207 people lived there. It's a quiet place with a rich history.

A Look Back: New Harmony's History

New Harmony started because people wanted to find and use iron in the area. In 1852, settlers built a simple factory to process iron. However, they soon left it because it was too hard to move the iron and supplies.

The town of New Harmony was officially settled in 1862. This happened after families had to leave Fort Harmony. Their old fort was damaged by heavy rains during the Great Flood of 1862. The adobe (mud-brick) walls of the fort were washed away.
