New Paris is a small village located in Preble County, Ohio, in the United States. In 2020, about 1,494 people lived there. It is part of the larger Dayton area, which is a major city region.

History of New Paris
New Paris was first planned out in 1817. Its name comes from Paris, Kentucky, which was where many of the first people to settle here came from. The village has had a post office since 1820, helping people send and receive mail for a very long time.
Geography of New Paris
New Paris is a small village. It covers about 0.76 square miles (1.96 square kilometers). Most of this area, about 0.74 square miles (1.90 square kilometers), is land, and a tiny part, 0.02 square miles (0.06 square kilometers), is water.
The village is located where two state roads, Route 121 and Route 320, meet. It is also just north of Interstate 70, a big highway. New Paris is very close to the Indiana state line, which means it's right next to another state! The area around the village has many cornfields, which are common in this part of Ohio.
