Newton is a small town in Cache County, Utah. It was started in 1869 by early settlers from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. In 2010, about 789 people lived there. Newton is part of the larger Logan, Utah-Idaho Metropolitan Statistical Area.
