Nia Kai Reed (born June 27, 1996) is an American professional volleyball player. She plays as an opposite hitter. Nia is part of the United States women's national volleyball team. She also plays for the Omaha Supernovas in the Pro Volleyball Federation.

Early Life and High School Success
Nia Reed was born in Cleveland, Ohio. She grew up in Fort Lee, New Jersey. Nia went to high school at Immaculate Heart Academy. She was a key player on her high school volleyball team.
Nia helped her team win four state championships in a row. She was named Player of the Year three times. This happened in 2011, 2012, and 2013. She also played for the USA Volleyball Girls' Youth A2 team. Nia was a top recruit and chose to play for Penn State.
College Volleyball Journey
Nia Reed played college volleyball at Penn State University. She was on the team for five seasons, from 2014 to 2018. In 2014, Penn State won the NCAA national championship. Nia was part of the team, but she did not play in any matches that year.
She helped Penn State reach the Final Four in 2017. This is a big achievement in college volleyball. In her final year, 2018, Nia was recognized as an All-American. She was the best on her team for "kills" (points scored). Penn State also won a Big Ten title in 2017.

After college, Nia Reed started her professional career. She has played for many different clubs around the world. These teams are in Turkey, France, Brazil, South Korea, and the USA.

Playing for Team USA
In May 2022, Nia Reed joined the United States women's national volleyball team. She was named to the roster for the FIVB Volleyball Women's Nations League tournament. This was her first time playing for the national team.
