Nicholas Scott Lachey (born November 9, 1973) is an American singer, actor, and television host. He first became famous as the lead singer of the popular boy band 98 Degrees.
Later, he starred in the reality TV show Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica with his first wife, Jessica Simpson. He has released four solo music albums. Lachey has also acted in TV shows like Charmed.
He is a well-known TV host. He hosted The Sing-Off and co-hosts the Netflix shows Love Is Blind and The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On with his wife, Vanessa Lachey. In 2021, he won the fifth season of the competition show The Masked Singer.

Early Life and Beginnings
Nick Lachey was born in Harlan, Kentucky. He is the older brother of Drew Lachey, who is also a singer and actor. The two brothers have often worked together.
From a young age, Nick was interested in performing. He went to the School for Creative and Performing Arts in Cincinnati, Ohio. He also attended Miami University in Ohio. His love for singing started early, and he performed in a singing group at the Kings Island amusement park in the mid-1990s.
Music and Television Career
Success with 98 Degrees
Lachey's career took off when he joined the boy band 98 Degrees. The other members were his brother Drew, Justin Jeffre, and Jeff Timmons. The group became very successful after their second album, 98 Degrees and Rising. 98 Degrees sold over 10 million records worldwide.
After a long break, the band got back together for a special concert in 2012. They have continued to perform together since then.
Solo Music and Acting
In 2003, Lachey and his wife at the time, Jessica Simpson, starred in the MTV reality show Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica. The show followed their daily lives and was very popular. It even won a People's Choice Award.
During this time, Lachey released his first solo album, SoulO. His second album, What's Left of Me, came out in 2006 and was a big success. The title song, "What's Left of Me", became a top ten hit. The music video for the song featured Vanessa Minnillo, who would later become his wife.
From 2004 to 2005, Lachey had a recurring role on the TV show Charmed. He also appeared as a singer on the show One Tree Hill.
Hosting and Reality TV
Lachey has become a popular host for many television shows. From 2009 to 2014, he hosted The Sing-Off, a singing competition for a cappella groups. He also co-hosted the morning show Big Morning Buzz Live on VH1.
In 2017, he competed on Dancing with the Stars along with his wife, Vanessa. He was paired with professional dancer Peta Murgatroyd.
More recently, he and his wife Vanessa have co-hosted two popular Netflix reality shows: Love Is Blind and The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On. He also hosts another Netflix show called Perfect Match by himself.
In 2021, Lachey won season five of The Masked Singer while performing as the character "Piglet."
Personal Life

Nick Lachey was married to singer Jessica Simpson from 2002 to 2006. Their life together was shown on the TV series Newlyweds.
After his first marriage ended, Lachey began dating Vanessa Minnillo in 2006. They got engaged in 2010 and were married on July 15, 2011. Their wedding was filmed for a TV special.
Nick and Vanessa Lachey have three children together. Their son Camden was born in 2012, their daughter Brooklyn was born in 2015, and their son Phoenix was born in 2016.
